West Coast
When traveling along the west coast, there are many options for RV travelers. Also referred to as the Pacific Coast, the west coast of the U.S. includes California, Oregon, and Washington. These three states offer plenty of RV fun and adventure, from beaches to amusement parks. In California, Highway 1 is ideal for RV travel. This highway is approximately 380 miles and takes travelers from Leggett, in Northern California, to Mexico. Along the way potential stops include the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, The Monterey Bay Aquarium, the Ano Nuevo State Park Elephant Seal Rookery, and Hearst Castle. The drive will also take travelers to a number of beaches, such as Venice Beach in Santa Monica or the beautiful beaches in Malibu. In Washington, another RV road trip involves traveling along the Olympic Peninsula. The drive starts in Seattle, and includes potential stops at Dungeness Spit, Lake Crescent, Sul Duc Hot Springs, Hoh Rain Forest with its 300 foot tall spruce trees, and the Quinault Rain Forest. A must see, and often the primary reason to travel the Olympic Peninsula, is the Olympic National Park. In addition, there are a number of RV Parks that are a part of the Olympic Peninsula RV Park Association. If taking an RV road trip in Oregon, there are also numerous state parks to visit along the coast, as well as a number of interesting lighthouses.

East-Coast
An RV vacation down the East Coast takes travelers along the shoreline states of the Atlantic. These states include Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North and South Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida. There are many attractions to keep families busy as they make their way down the east coast. Also known as the Atlantic Coast, there are numerous RV parks to accommodate recreational travelers no matter which state they stop in. Popular areas to travel include Vermont Green Mountain Highway, the Massachusetts Mohawk Trail, the South Carolina Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway, and the West Virginia Midland Trail, to name a few. For people who want to travel the east coast at a leisurely pace, traveling down Historic Route 1 is an option. Historic Route 1 travels approximately 2,450 miles starting in Maine and ending in Florida. For people more interested in spending quality time in the water and under the sun, Florida has a wide selection of beaches and beach RV parks.
