Eco-Friendly Boating for Beginners

In order to conserve our environment, it is essential to follow eco-friendly boating practices. By following these environmentally safe guidelines, our waterways can be conserved for generations to come to share and enjoy. There are many different ways that boats can contribute to pollution. Marine engines contribute to ground level pollution by emitting hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxide. The pollutants caused by marine engines impact humans directly because they cause respiratory inflammation. Lack of regular maintenance on a vessel can contribute to oil and gas leaks. The surrounding environment of a particular waterway can be infected by a single vessel through the transportation of evasive species from one body of water to another. While there are many ways a boat can contribute to pollution, there are many ways drivers can make their boating trips greener. The Boat That Couldn’t Sink: The Tale of the Titanic

When it came to the design of the ship, the elegant heated rooms, rich furnishings, woodcarvings, grand staircases, and telephone service put the Titanic in a class by itself. By the time the Titanic was ready to set sail, it was already receiving praise from all over the world. This article about the Titanic is provided by Action Donation Services® as service to the […]

Ship, Yacht and Boat Safety: Storms on the High Seas

Our cars are often our lifelines to the outside world. They get us to work, shopping, shuttling our families around town and are our transportation to many far away destinations. However, if we don’t regularly inspect our vehicles and keep them well maintained, all that travel can be put in jeopardy. This is especially true for those just beginning to drive because they do not have the ability to recognize some common problems. Keeping a vehicle in tiptop shape is a dual effort that involves both the owner and those who service the vehicle. Financially it makes sense to personally do most of the maintenance, but don’t attempt it if there isn’t access to the correct tools or the knowledge in which to do it correctly. A qualified repair shop is usually best for more major issues that arise. Some cars have special requirements and may require the use of […]
